Never in a million years did we think that the Collegiate Photo contest would be such a success! We went from having approximately 2,500 Facebook fans to having a whopping 20, 230. A total of 17,812 votes were cast over a one week period! Absolutely amazing! It was such a success that Facebook grew suspicious of our fast growth and took away our administrator posting rights until we verified we were in fact the owners of Twirl Magazine (an issue we are still dealing with)! Thank you so much for all your support! Now we, as a twirling community, have something to point to when Band directors try and say that baton twirlers are not necessary in a Marching Band! We showed that interest and support for our halftime show stars reaches far beyond the twirling world! What an eye opening and amazing experience for us! We are honored to have had such awesome pictures submitted and can not wait to do this again next year!
